King of Tokyo

In King of Tokyo, players become giant monsters, robots, and aliens battling to become the one and only King of Tokyo. Each player chooses a monster and takes turns rolling six dice, with up to three rolls each turn. The dice can provide Victory Points, Energy, Health, or Attack results, allowing players to decide whether to focus on scoring, healing, attacking opponents, or collecting Energy to purchase powerful cards.

One of the biggest decisions in the game is whether to enter Tokyo. Being in Tokyo allows you to earn extra Victory Points and attack all other monsters at once, but you cannot heal while you are there. This creates a constant push-and-pull between taking the valuable position in Tokyo and getting out before your health becomes too low.

Players can also spend Energy to purchase Power Cards, which give their monster special abilities and create different strategies from game to game. You can win by reaching 20 Victory Points or by being the last monster standing. With push-your-luck dice rolling, direct player interaction, special abilities, and plenty of opportunities to change your strategy from turn to turn, King of Tokyo is a fast and accessible monster battle that works well for both families and larger groups.
