In Pokémon Labyrinth, players take on the roles of Pokémon trainers searching for their favourite Pokémon in a constantly shifting maze. Each player controls a Pokémon character such as Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle and receives a set of hidden Pokémon targets to find.
On every turn, players must first shift the labyrinth by inserting the spare maze tile into one of the rows or columns. This changes the pathways across the board, creating new routes to the Pokémon they are looking for while potentially blocking opponents. Players then move their Pokémon through the available paths, trying to reach the character shown on their current Poké Ball token.
The challenge is that the maze is constantly changing. A path that was perfect on your previous turn may disappear when another player shifts the board, so you need to adapt your plans and consider how each maze movement will affect both yourself and your opponents. The first player to find all of their Pokémon and return to their starting position wins.
