In MicroMacro: Crime City, players become detectives investigating crimes hidden throughout a massive, highly detailed city map. The entire game takes place on one enormous illustrated map filled with hundreds of characters, buildings, vehicles, and events. Every detail can potentially provide an important clue.
Each case begins with a series of questions or objectives. Players must search the map to find the relevant characters and then follow their movements through the city to reconstruct what happened. A character may appear in multiple locations across the map, allowing you to trace their actions before, during, and after a crime.
The challenge is not simply finding the right person—it is understanding how the different events connect. You may need to follow several characters, compare locations, identify suspicious behaviour, and piece together the sequence of events. The cases range from straightforward mysteries to more complicated investigations involving multiple characters and clues.
With 120 cases across different difficulty levels, MicroMacro: Crime City offers a unique combination of observation, deduction, and storytelling. It can be played cooperatively, making it an especially fun choice for groups who enjoy solving mysteries together.
