Huat’s Up

In Huat’s Up!, players take part in a fast and frantic card-game version of the traditional Chinese New Year lo hei. Instead of tossing a real yusheng salad, players toss cards representing its different ingredients and race to find the matching pairs they need. Once the ingredients are mixed together, everyone has to quickly search through the cards and use their Chopstick cards to flip and find matching ingredients.

Your objective is to collect all 8 pairs of ingredients on your Plate card before your opponents do. Each ingredient is associated with a traditional auspicious greeting, adding a fun cultural element to the frantic gameplay. The game rewards speed and accuracy, as players need to spot the right cards and claim them before someone else gets there first.

With simultaneous play, quick reactions, and plenty of chaotic card-tossing, Huat’s Up! captures the lively atmosphere of lo hei in a compact game. It is easy to learn and suitable for family play, while its Singaporean Chinese New Year theme gives it a distinctive local twist.
